Good textbook for graduate class in Algorithms. Moreover, the language is friendly to the extent that the book can be read as a novel.
Although it is the India edition, the content is same as the American one. The book teaches students a range of design and analysis techniques for problems that arise in computing applications. The end-of-the-chapter exercises are few of the best one can ever ask for, truly enhancing one’s understanding of concepts.
As soon as they do this, they immediately prove it true. I had a great time with this book and it’s associated class.

I can’t promise you that you’ll be a great computer scientist if you master the topics in the book, but working through these examples and problems will make you better. It’s hard to understand. I don’t mind having to make an intuitive leap to solve a problem, but this often requires an intuitive leap to understand the actual problem rather than the solution.

Algorithm Design isn’t that way. Algorithm Design introduces algorithms by looking at the real-world problems that motivate them. Rarely does one eesign to see such clear exposition of nuances in ‘Greedy Algorithms’, ‘Network Flow’.
