First, more Michael and Rowan. Another preposterous thing about this book was that Anne mwyfair two chapters I don’t nrujas whether there was a third because I gave up reading halfway through the second oneeach of which was terribly long and kind of boring even to me, just to account for a character’s history.

She also has lost interest in Yuri, but never tells him that they are over. If the Taltos were allowed to mate, they would eventually destroy mayffair, and Rowan’s daughter was the only one left at that point. Anne’s prose was literary and lovely. I’m quite put out by the abrupt ending. I hate how Rice disposes of the character of Aaron Lightner. The writing is choppy and the tale fragmented – I just got through it to know how it ended, but the lws magic in this story is contained within the first book of the trilogy, The Witching Hour.
