The book is filled with stories of tormenting Will, from smashing his prized ant farm, to locking him out of the locker room naked. I did it as a class book thing and I would be annoyed when we’d have to stop and do the questions.
If you are a teacher, I hy you to read this book to your class. They abandon him, but he doesn’t care because he feels good about it.
I loved it and couldn’t put it down.

Amazon Rapids Fun stories for kids on the go. Devan is one of the gang of boys who follows Shane, the high school’s prime 9th grade bully. Chapters are short, concise, and written from a perspective of various teens: I like two different perspectives but not many books have. With pifnat sensitive ending that does justice to caroilne characters, the situation, and reality, the issues are supported by Pignat’s clear prose and pitnat treatment of the perspectives of three very different characters.
Shane argued with his mom throughout the car ride. No trivia or quizzes yet. Oct 25, Bookworm rated it it was amazing. It allowed the point of view of the bully, the bullied, and the bystander, and captured their thought processing in pignxt to their behaviors and personalities.
The character of William James Reid comes through especially clearly the use of poetry helps to distinguish his voice and this will be a popular choice for classrooms. Anyways I found I remember my teacher from elementary read this book to me last year in grade 7.

Each character takes a turn at telling the story — through the spare blank verse of Will, wrapped up in the world of his single-parent father and his own eccentric preoccupations; through the clear-eyed accounts of Katie, wrestling with her own private demons; and in the sensitive narrative of the slowly awakening Devan, who comes to notice Katie as a spunky, attractive individual whom he’d like to know better but fears thinks he’s a goof. The author found a way to make it funny and serious in a way that shows different perspectives bystander, victim, etc.
Also really enjoyed the poems by the MC. It was quick paced and had great poetry in Will’s perspective. Egghead by Caroline Pignat Members. I used this as a read aloud in my middle years classroom. Try the Kindle edition and experience these great reading features: I read this book and immediately gave it to my daughter to read. The worst bit about the book for me was that it could have been longer maybe pages so there is more detail in This book was written by Caroline Pignat and is a very interesting and good book.

The impressive thing about Egghead is that this story manages to juggle several points of view clearly. This was such eggheas wonderful story. Katie, a girl who has stuck by Will since elementary school. Thogh the ending was a little un-clear to me and just some-what sad to me thus, wanting there to be a sequel but NOPE no sequel!
In other words, he’s the perfect target for Shane, the Grade 9 bully. It was a poignant and inspiring novel about growing up, friendship, fitting in. There’s a problem loading this menu right now.
